Attorneys

We are seeking part-time, ¾ time, and/or full-time attorneys who have some or all of the below experience:

  1. Data Privacy Compliance

    An attorney in this role should have:

    • Experience writing and editing data privacy policies, including website privacy policies, terms and conditions of use, ADA accessibility policies, TCPA, CAN SPAM and other statutory required policies and procedures for marketing and commercial communications, data subject requests (DSARs), record retention and disposal policies, data processing agreements (DPAs), etc.
    • Experience with negotiating and editing contracts, vendor contract negotiations, helping clients determine if a law applies to them and how to comply with it.
    • Experience with domestic and international privacy laws including EU GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, GLBA, etc.
    • Health care law experience is desired.

  2. Data Security Compliance

    An attorney in this role should have:

    • Experience writing and editing data security policies, including incident response, disaster recovery, data management, retention/disposal, etc.
    • Experience with negotiating and editing contracts, and helping clients determine if a law applies to them and how to comply with it.
    • Experience preparing and running tabletop exercises and training for clients.
    • Experience with domestic and international data security laws, technology standards and practices.
    • Health care law experience is desired.

  3. Emerging Technologies Solutions and Strategy

    An attorney in this role should have:

    • Experience working with companies and advising on adopting new technologies such as Artificial Intelligence Technologies.
    • Experience fostering growth with data analytics, from strategy, compliance measures, contract review, training, and education.
    • Experience identifying potential risks, upcoming legislation, and regulatory oversight/restrictions related to new technologies and innovation.

  4. Incident Response

    As one of the few firms in the US certified as a Breach Coach© we work with insurance carrier’s insureds and non-insured organizations when they have a data security incident.

    An Attorney in this role should have:

    • Experience interfacing with clients and internal tech and legal teams to help clients stand back up and resume operations, prepare internal and external communications, and satisfy legal obligations, including notification and reporting requirements under applicable laws, standards, and contractual obligations, in the event of a cybersecurity incident or data breach.
    • Strong knowledge of applicable laws and regulations, including state breach notification laws, CCPA, HIPAA, international privacy/breach notification laws including GDPR and PIPEDA.
    • Health care law experience is desired.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to prioritize action items in the event of a cybersecurity incident or data breach.

Attorneys must be in good standing with their respective Bar, passionate about technology, have exceptional writing and communication skills, and stellar project management capabilities.
 

Crucial Team Members

  1. Marketing and Public Relations Associate/Executive/Manager/Specialist - Job Responsibilities include but not limited to:
    • Responding to requests for information release or press conference from the media or designating a spokesperson or source of information.
    • Establishing and maintaining relationships with consumer, community, employee, and public interest groups.
    • Writing press releases and other media communications to promote clients.
    • Planning or directing the development of programs to maintain favorable public and stockholder views of the organization's agenda and accomplishments.
    • Coaching client representatives in effective communication with the public and employees.
    • Studying the organization's objectives, promotional policies, and needs to build public relations strategies that influence public opinion and promote products, ideas, and services.
    • Preparing and editing organizational publications, including employee newsletters or stockholders' reports, for internal and external audiences.
    • Updating and maintaining Web content.
    • Conferring with managers to identify trends and group interests and providing advice on business decisions.
    Public Relations Requirements:
    • Bachelor's degree in journalism, PR, marketing, or related field.
    • Experience handling a press conference.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to pitch to media.
    • Knowledge of consumer marketing.
    • An ability to work on big strategy plans as well as day-to-day tasks.
    • Ability to think both creatively and strategically.
    • Ability to run PR campaigns that deliver measurable results and meet objectives.
    • Deadline-oriented, inquisitive, with great follow-up and reporting skills.
    • Creativity in securing coverage and buzz with traditional outlets.
    • Understanding of social media and solid experience working with bloggers.
    • Project and budget management skills.
    • Responds well under pressure with strict time limit.
    • Quick and enthusiastic learner.

Apprenticeship Program

We are seeking interns for the summer of 2024. Ideal candidates must be attending an ABA approved national or international law school, have excellent writing and communication skills. A passion for all things technology is not required but preferred.
